Our Vision

A Western Australia where every woman has access to justice, safety, and the opportunity to live free from violence and disadvantage.

Our Values

Our services are open to women of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds across Western Australia. We welcome cis and trans women, and non-binary people comfortable in women’s spaces. We particularly support women who:

Justice

Every woman deserves access to a fair and equal legal system. We work every day to make that a reality.

Equality

We believe in equality for all women — regardless of income, background, location, culture, or circumstance.

Integrity

We are honest, transparent, and accountable in everything we do — to the women we serve, our partners, and our funders.

Leadership

We lead with expertise and courage — in our services, in our sector, and in our advocacy for systemic change.

Respect

We treat every woman with dignity, care, and deep respect for her story, her choices, and her strengths.

Our Strategic Pillars: How we measure our impact

Women’s Legal Service WA’s work is guided by a five-pillar Strategic Plan. In 2024/25, we measured our progress against each pillar:

  • People

empowering our team and delivering expert, compassionate services to clients

  • Place

providing accessible, safe services across metropolitan and regional WA

  • Partnerships

building strong relationships with sector, government, and community organisations

  • Positioning

establishing WLSWA as a respected leader in service delivery and advocacy

  • Practices

continuously improving our approach to deliver the best possible outcomes for women
